Junius’ father, an auto mechanic and his mother, a homemaker, raised him to have a strong values-based work ethic with a focus on family and faith. In his twenty-four years as an educator at Eureka College, and as a civically engaged resident of our district, Junius understands that we are called upon to serve one another.
Junius currently serves as president of the board for two local organizations where he works to provide support for: youth and senior programs, individuals with special needs, and emergency shelter for women and their children. In his service to others, Junius applies a broad-based visionary outlook to finding creative solutions to the various challenges individuals confront on a daily basis.
Junius’ only allegiance will be to serving the best interests of residents of the IL-18th congressional district, not special interests. If elected, Junius has promised to opt-out of the congressional pension system. If you want a public servant who will bring folks together to find common sense solutions rather than more of the same career politicians, the choice is clear this November – vote for Junius Rodriguez.
